FBI disrupts E-Note tied to $70,000,000 laundering; indictment unsealed
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Michigan said Wednesday that the FBI disrupted E-Note, a cryptocurrency cashout service allegedly used by cybercriminals. Prosecutors unsealed an indictment against Russian national Mykhalio Petrovich Chudnovets, who faces up to 20 years in prison, after investigators identified more than $70,000,000 in illicit proceeds moved through the platform.

Chainlink teams up with 24 financial institutions to enhance corporate actions processing
On December 18, 2025, Chainlink announced a partnership with 24 major financial institutions to deploy an infrastructure aimed at improving corporate actions processing. The system uses the Chainlink oracle network, blockchains, and AI to extract, validate, and distribute corporate actions data across multiple chains. The initiative builds on a prior Phase 1 project and is moving into Phase 2, which targets faster, more accurate, and standardized delivery of corporate actions information for asset managers.
