BlackRock’s Rick Rieder says bitcoin will go “considerably higher” after a roughly 50% pullback
Rick Rieder, BlackRock’s chief investment officer for global fixed income, said on June 15, 2026 he expects bitcoin to go “considerably higher” over the long term, even as the firm keeps its exposure moderate. He said bitcoin has been volatile due to what he described as technical conditions, but reiterated his longer-term view. Rieder is not new to the asset, and one of his mutual funds holds a small bitcoin position through IBIT, the iShares Bitcoin Trust, according to a clip shared by Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas.
