Delhi High Court rejects Telegram bid to lift India ban through June 22
The Delhi High Court rejected Telegram’s appeal and kept a temporary ban in place through June 22. India’s IT ministry ordered telecom operators and app stores including Apple and Google to take the app offline over concerns about illegal content tied to medical entrance exam paper leaks. Telegram has more than 150 million users in India, its biggest market. Apple and Google complied under local law, and the order did not result in service disruptions or fines.
