Qatar targets rapid LNG restart after Strait of Hormuz reopens

QatarEnergy told customers it could restore about 50% of LNG output within a month after safe navigation through the Strait of Hormuz resumes, and 80% within two months, according to Bloomberg. The plan is contingent on the U.S.-Iran deal holding and sustained security in the waterway. QatarEnergy has said the remaining 20% of capacity could take years to repair after Iranian strikes damaged the Ras Laffan complex.
