India’s soybean meal exports drop 63.50% to 50,000 tonnes in May amid high prices and West Asia crisis
India’s soybean meal exports fell about 63.50% year on year to 50,000 tonnes in May, as domestic prices stayed well above those in major exporters such as the US, Brazil and Argentina. Shipments to Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Oman also stopped after the West Asia crisis, according to the Soybean Processors Association of India. Analysts said an agreement to end the 107-day conflict between the US and Iran has helped ease pressure on global markets.
