TotalEnergies CEO Patrick Pouyanné says Saudi refinery is operating at 70% and will not be fully repaired until early 2027

TotalEnergies CEO Patrick Pouyanné said the company’s refinery in Saudi Arabia is currently operating at 70% of capacity. He added that the site will not be fully repaired until early 2027. The facility is one of TotalEnergies’ key refining assets in the Middle East, supporting regional supply and exports of refined products. The disruption represents a sustained loss of refining capacity and is expected to affect the global balance for middle distillates, with particular implications for Asia–Europe arbitrage flows.
