CBOT wheat slides 1.3% to $6.13 1/4 ahead of Juneteenth long weekend
Chicago wheat, corn and soybean futures fell broadly on Thursday, led by wheat, which dropped 1.3% to $6.1325 a bushel. Markets weighed expectations for improved Middle East supplies of urea and crude oil after a U.S.-Iran memorandum of understanding and the resumption of tanker traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, while traders also trimmed risk ahead of the weekend. Soyoil sank 2.3% as crude weakened, and urea prices fell 12% on the week. USDA and CBOT will be closed Friday for Juneteenth.
